To this day, I really don't know what possessed me to join the military, much less the U.S. Marine Corps. Maybe it was the need for adventure? The need for something different? To have done something so I could say that I did do it? To fulfill a childhood fantasy? To give something back to the country that I was raised in? To protect the ones that mean the most to me? I probably will never know. But I am glad that I did it. It was certainly an interesting six years...
